Updated: Apr 29

Aerial view of people forming "75" on a green field beside a school building under a cloudy sky, celebrating an event with a joyful mood.

Morgans celebrated 75 years on Saturday 26th April, by inviting former pupils and teachers into the school for an emotional trip down memory lane!

Blue "75" with brown squirrel inside zero, and "YEARS" in white text on blue, symbolizing an anniversary.

Morgans School opened the doors to former pupils and teachers on Saturday 26th April to celebrate our 75th Anniversary!

It was an incredibe turnout with just over 200 visitors travelling to Hertford from all over the country (and beyond!!) to enjoy a sunny afternoon at Morgans, including some of the very first intake of pupils from when the school opened in 1950.

It was a joy listening to people's stories and seeing old friends reconnect. Thank you to everyone who attended and to our little army of organisers and helpers.

Morgans memories

Former pupils had the chance to explore the school grounds and relive their time at Morgans. Emotions ran high as old friends reconnected and early memories were triggered.

People shared fond memories of swimming in the outdoor pool, the paddling pool in the infants' playground, playing on the old fire engine and walled maze.

A wonderful moment when 4 men who were in the very first class at Morgans in 1950 were reunited with a former classmate. Not a dry eye in the house!
